Why Feeling Tired Might Not Be What You Think

It's not sleep you're missing...

Good morning, ,

Have you ever felt completely drained, even after a full night’s sleep?

You’ve had your coffee, maybe even a second cup, but the fatigue still lingers.

It’s a frustrating feeling, and many of us chalk it up to stress, bad habits, or just needing more rest.

But here’s something to consider:

What if your tiredness isn’t about rest at all?

What if it’s about boredom?

When we don’t have anything to truly engage us, no real challenge to attack, our minds and bodies enter a state of low energy.

It’s not because we’re overworked; it’s because we’re under-stimulated.

Think about it.

Have you ever been so absorbed in a project or activity that hours fly by without you even noticing?

During those moments, you don’t feel tired at all.

You’re alive and energized because your mind has something to fully commit to.

That’s the opposite of boredom.

Now compare that to times when there’s nothing pushing you forward.

Days where you’re just going through the motions.

It’s a lack of mental engagement.

So, what’s the solution? You need a challenge.

Find Something That Excites You

Challenge doesn’t have to mean solving a huge problem or taking on a massive project.

It can be as simple as learning something new.

Setting a personal goal.

Tackling something you’ve been putting off.

When you give yourself a task that stretches you, even just a little, you awaken parts of your brain and body that have been lying dormant.

Break Free From Routine

Routines are comfortable, but they can also become traps.

If every day looks the same, it’s easy to fall into a mental fog.

Shake things up.

Try a different route to work.

Spend 30 minutes reading about a topic you’ve never explored before.

Spark new energy.

Embrace Discomfort

Stepping outside your comfort zone is where growth is.

It will be uncomfortable.

Challenges force you to engage more fully with life.

Give Your Energy a Purpose

When you have a clear goal to work toward, your energy has somewhere to go.

Without a purpose, it’s like trying to drive a car without a destination, you end up going nowhere.

Find something meaningful to you,

And dedicate yourself to it.

Tiredness isn’t always a sign to slow down.

Sometimes it’s a sign to wake up.

If you’re feeling drained,

It might mean it’s time to challenge yourself again.

Find something that excites you, scares you, or inspires you.

And watch how quickly your energy returns.

You’re not stuck.

You’re just waiting for the next big thing to ignite your passion.

So go find it.

All the best,
Omar
