No Perfection Required

The work just needs doing.

,

I wanted to share a thought that’s been on my mind recently:

The work just needs doing.

I know it sounds straightforward, but it’s actually a huge mental shift.

You see, the work doesn’t care who we are, how we feel, or what we might be going through.

It doesn’t require us to be in the perfect state of mind or to have all the answers before we begin.

The work is neutral—it just waits patiently, asking only one thing of us: to be done.

It simply exists, ready for us to take it on whenever we’re ready.

This can be a freeing realization.

We don’t have to be perfect, we don’t have to feel “ready,” and we don’t have to wait until we’re inspired.

We just have to be willing to put one foot in front of the other and show up in whatever way we can.

Some days it might be a big leap.

Other days it’s just a small step.

And that’s okay.

The work is there for us to move forward, at whatever pace we’re able.

Every bit of effort contributes to the bigger picture.

I hope this idea resonates with you as much as it does with me, .

Let’s keep this mindset at the front of our thoughts as we move forward.

The work doesn’t demand perfection, only presence.

All the best,
Omar
